ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Once upon a time, there is a boy called Ashwin. He is so intelligent. He lives in Madurai. He has a helping tendency in his mind. So he wants to solve the problem of the people. One day he sees a person who is different from him. After sometime, the person disappears before him and Ashwin thinks “who is he?”. Came and is disappeared?.  And he also thinks that it is god’s grace. After sometime the person comes and Ashwin asks, “where are you from?”. And then the person tells that he is genie and he is from the desert where no one is there except the soul. He has started to ask questions to Ashwin about the environment. The first question is “what do you know about our world and what are all the things that we have done to this earth?”. Ashwin does not give any answer and stands.

                                                 

Genie is starts to speak. He says, that god had given a nice gift for us. Do you know what the gift is?. It is this earth. Earth is one of the planets in this solar system. It has air and water to live, so it also called as ‘ blue planet, living planet, environmental planet’. But we are all polluting the environment. We are creating noise pollution, water pollution, land pollution and air pollution. 

                                                                           

The people cut down the trees and pollute the nature. We are polluting the land by deforestation. Air has been polluted by us and we are using cars, vehicles etc. Those things release harmful gases. There are many living organisms in water bodies. Such a great vegetation that we are having in this earth. We are killing those organisms by polluting water. Industries wastes are mixing in the water bodies. It makes water to be polluted. If water is not available, we’ll die. So we should not waste water.                                                    

                             
         
Now we are destroying the natural resources and now noise pollution also increases. We made noise pollution. When we are using LED, LCD on TVs, music instruments and electronic gadgets. They cuate sounds that makes noise pollution. We have cut down trees. So deforestation has taken place. So no rainfall. Afforestation means planting trees. Afforestation should be done. When we plant trees, then there will be more rainfall, water will be provided more. “PLANT TREES AND GET RAIN WATER”.

Why the natural disasters like volcano eruption or tsunami are happening?. Natural Disasters has taken place because of us.  Tsunami has occurred because of us. The big waves are called tsunami. Natural disasters are such as tsunami, earthquake, drought and flood. Because of rainfall, the natural resources will develop.

Many foreign countries are developed countries. Because they are preserving natural resources. They are using organic chemical products for

agriculture. By using chemical products, the land becomes in fertile. It affects our health too. The leaves have given food, flower etc.  Neem trees is the best medicine for digestion and fever. The natural resources are useful. Using inorganic chemicals, the natural resources are wasted.

                                         

       We cause the air pollution by burning papers, plastics and wood.  In this world 21% of oxygen only present and 78% of nitrogen, carbondioxide  0.03%. We must avoid plastics. We are polluting our land and it’s harmful to the environment. It spoils the soil. If we plant trees among plastics. Unknowingly, the roots of the saplings do not get water when they grow up. When we kept inside the water and the plastic for 2 days the water will be polluted and release harmful smell. Burning plastics and tires, using cigarettes, tobacco lead to lung cancer. “DON’T USE PLASTICS”.  The trees are giving more products to us. We have to conserve or preserve the environment. When we cut one tree and plant 2 saplings so we can conserve the environment. Drinking alcohol leads to liver cancer.

Why the other countries have more resources than us?.  First of all, once India had a lot and lot of resources. Traders came from other countries came to India. India is known for its agriculture. Agriculture is the backbone of India. For agriculture birds play an important role. Farmers were friends to birds. It is the seventh largest country in this world. Now we have destroyed all resources. Vasco-da-gama, the Portuguese visited India for trading purpose. Natural resources are fuel, kerosene, petroleum, coal etc. And now we do not leave any things to next generation to line.  In foreign countries if anyone wastes natural resources puts rubbish on the roads or disturbs environment their government give punishment by paying fine and he/she will be in jail. In foreign countries they are protecting the environment. If coal is wasted, it will take billion of years to reproduce. So we should not waste the resources. We should not hunt animals. We should protect nature. We should protect species. We have two types of species. They are extinct species, endangered species.

                                  

Extinct species are species that died in the world. Example: Dinosaurs. Endangered species are the species are less in number and are considerable danger of becoming extinct. Now, there are many stand as endangered species in line. Government has taken action Zoological Survey of India (ZSI). Birds and animals can shift from one place to another place but what about plants? If we cut plants and trees then where they can live?. In 1950s Cheetahs became extinct. Clouded leopard are found in India and they are rare species.

Salim Ali, Ornithologist who told that words, “But some are showing their love to animals and birds now-a-days”.

                                                        

Species breeding area of the famous olive riley’s turtle is the vast of Odessa while hawks bill turtle is on the cost of tamilnadu. So the government had put on sanctuaries and national parks all over India. These animals are well protected from an danger.

Tigers belong to the cat family. They are commonly known as “Bigcats”. India is the only country having five species of bigcats in its forests. But, we had six. Unfortunately Cheetahs became extinct from 1950s. National parks are the areas which dedicated to protect environment.

                         
                                         

In this earth, many species have started to become rare. To preserve and conserve the species we should not make to be in endanger list or in extinct. The government take projects conserve the environment with animals and birds. For example: India has taken projects on tiger known as “Project Tiger”.

We are celebrating these day?. Do we take care of all resources?.
